Daiwa’s Monocoque Body increases overall strength, improves water resistance with the absence of screws, and significantly reduces overall weight. The frame is built from a new material called Zaion-V; a more easily machined compound than Daiwa’s standard Zaion. Very similar in function to Zaion, Zaion-V is extremely durable, lightweight, corrosion resistant, and can be implemented into a wider range of reels. To enhance the winding operation and responsiveness, Daiwa’s Air Drive Rotor sheds unnecessary weight without sacrificing in much needed rigidity under high drag pressures. The rotor will never give or flex during the fight, ensuring the post efficient power transmission. This advanced lightened rotor design reduces the inertia required to spin around the reel, making it easier to crank the handle and creates a more responsive winding experience.
